I received almost a full pound of Winchester Super Light shotgun powder. Appears to be OK, no strange smell, container in good shape and normal mcolor. Can not find loading data in any manuals I have or on line. Can any one help with data or source for loads. Prefer 1 1/8 shot target loads with AA hulls and wads.
Being frugal, hate to not be able to use this powder.
Thanks.

John

There's a fair amount of data in Lyman #4. Which hulls do you have?

Jack,
I am using AA hulls and wads. I'd sure appreciate a load using 1 1/8 oz shot, Win 209 primers and the weight of Super Light for a standard target load.
My Lyman handbook comes from an earlier date and does not list the WSL powder.
Thanks.

OK, Winchester AA hull, W209 Primer and very important, WAA12 wad? 1 1/8 ounce shot. Lyman #4 doesn't list that combo. It does list 18.0 grains of Super Lite with a CCI 209 and a WAA12 wad for 1119 fps and 7,400 LUP. Another possibility is 19.0 grains Super Lite, W209 primer and WT12 wad for 1209 fps and 11,100 PSI. Page 203. Lyman states on page 65 that the WT12 is ballistically interchangeable with the WAA12 wad, but isn't advised for low temperatures.

Reloading For Shotgunners, #4, lists a 20.0 grain load of Super Light with the WAA12 wad and W209 primer for 1200 fps. They MAX out at 21.0 grains for 1255 fps and 10,900 PSI. Again, AA hull and 1 1/8 ounce shot. Page 219.
