Does anyone have any info on the new product line from Redfield? I cannot open there site on my computer. I was wondering if they have any fixed power scopes? Thanks!

Their site was up for me, and I downloaded their 20 MB pdf catalog file. It was a total of 7 pages with only one page containing products. All were variables, and most of them were very high power scopes with 52+ mm objectives. The two lower power models were a 3-15x52mm and a 1.5-7 x 42mm. It doesn't look like they plan on producing fixed powers at this point. I still can't believe that their catalog file was huge for as little information as it contains.

I'ts my understanding that Meade bought Redfield, Weaver and Simmons. They have been in the optics field for a long time and have already brought out a much improved Simmons line of scopes. I like Simmons, especially the ATEC with its superb optics and wide field of view and excellent price.
I am glad to see the Redfield name revived again. I looked at their site and was impressed with what they have so far, especially the field of view on the smallest zoom. Looks like lots of 30 mm tubes and aspheric optics means sharp from edge to edge. I do like to keep a scope low to the bore and the huge bells mean higher scope mounting which means much more torque on a scope and getting your head up higher on the stock.
