Wolff spring kit with 13 and 15 lb.hammer springs included arrived today and would much appreciate hearing from those of you here as to your experences with the different weights.I've already slicked-up the innards and if the 13lb.spring gives 100% ignition it would mean one less trip for the screws.I remember at least a couple members here were going to try the kit but would feel better with the knowledge that the 13lb.keeps going bang and not click.Big boars here can't see too good but love hearing click.Seems to attract um. Mark,
I ordered the kit and tried the 13 lb. spring. I had about a 50% failure to fire rate. I was low on ammo and needed to sight the rifle in, so I reinstalled the factory spring to get me by. I have not tried the 15 lb. yet.

After installing the 13lb.spring and cycling the action I felt the coils stacking so went back in and packed the coils with heavy grease-did the trick.I was concerned with FTF problems but with over 200 handloads(WLP primers)and about 150 PMC factory 240's I've had 100% ignition with the brass showing good primer hits.I did slick the action as needed and cycle the hammer/trigger with snap caps around 200 times before range testing.Bruce.if you're having problems with the 13lb,check the brass and see if the hits are centered and check for any binding after re-assembly.In order to get the hammer draw and action to feel right,I had to go back and play with the tightening pattern on the hammer and tang screws to allow propper alignment of the lower tang:1-snug hammer screw 2-snug tang/stock screw 3-tigten hammer and then tighten the tang to stock.Made a difference on mine.Great action, great trigger on a great little Winnie.Don't give up on the Wolff 13. God Bless and Good Shooting, Mark
