Well on friday I bought a marlin 336er 356 cal for under 跌. This completes my 35 cal lever action set with the 35rem, 358win, and the 356win. I love these actions so smooth. Unfortunatly I'll most likely be parting with my browning blr-81 in 358. Any ideas on asking prices? It's a beautiful rifle with an extra clip lots of brass and some nos-par bullets. It's a fantastic shooter and very smooth.  I just prefer the marlin and need the money to go on my bear hunt next year.

Congrats, you got a good one, no doubt.  I just got myself a blr in 358, and that is my second 35, of which i am a huge fan.

I gave 軆 for mine, and it sounds like the condition you describe.  No extras, and i thought i got a deal.  Trouble is, i am not sure that many are 35 fans, and what i hear allot from the great rifle shooting masses,  is "its a three fifty winchester-what?"  So if you kind find some bonafide rifle cranks, like well, us, then you will be in great shape.

Take care and good luck,

Steve

A GREAT TRIFECTA FOR SURE, BUT YOU MISSED THE BEST AND FUNNEST 35 CAL LEVERGUN OF 'EM ALL, A
357 MAGNUM LEVERGUN. IF YOU LIKE 35 CAL HOLES YOU HAVE TO HAVE ONE OF THESE JUST FOR FUN, THOUGH IT IS A DEADLY DEER KILLER.
I OWN A MARLIN, A BROWNING, AND A SS ROSSI IN 357MAG AND ALL THREE ARE SIMPLY SUPERB LIGHTWEIGHT MEDIUM BORE CARBINES.
YEP, I ALSO HAVE A 356WIN RIFLE, AND A STRAIGHT GRIPPED 35REM IS OUT THERE SOMEWHERE WHISPERING SOFTLY TO ME...

The best 35 levergun, one no collection should be without, is the Model 71 .348 Winchester.

Muleskinner, in this area when you say 348,356,358 people say "a what? You telling me they make rifle's in other than 30-06?" If you do find one It looks like a louisville slugger with a huge price tag on it. Still I'd be all over one if it showed its face.

Over looked cal's have an advantage around here sometimes. Some go really cheap  e.g.  ($250 356win-win passed  $300 356win - marlin own   $175 pre 64 win 30-30 passed-dumb  $300 1886 40-82 win OK shape passed-dumb and others) can't get'em all.

Man, somebody must've been out of his bloomin' mind to let a 40-82 go at that price. Next time just feel ta passit on ta me. Don't forget the excellent model 1895 in 35 WCF. Great cartridge, plenty of power.
