I recently obtained a Bair Grizzly c press, ,made years ago but never used. It is missing the spent primer catcher which is a plastic cup that catches primers as they are removed from spent cases. The Bair company is now Hornady but I cannot obtain the part from them.
Would appreciate any help in obtaining the part.
Thanks

Bair is not Hornady. Bair became Bear then became gone. Pacific became Hornady by going from blue to red. While Bair is good equipment, the only option for that primer catcher is to either make one yourself or haunt e-bay. Most of their designs and dimensions were very much like other brands, so maybe another brand can be configured to fit. BOL

Thanks for the reply. I thought of trying to make one from a tupperware container. Not a big deal, I have a small hand press that I can use with my universal de capping die. Just thought maybe someone might have one.

I de-prime all of my cases with a hand press and a universal decapper as I take them out of the tumbler, or more precicely, the screen that separates the cases from the media. I find this works better in the overall processing of cases. I also wipe the cases off before placing them in the loading block or storage boxes.

My point being, if you have the hand press setup, don't worry about the primer catcher for the "regular" press. I leave mine in the box for the press, and have no intention of ever using it again. It is nice for "completeness", but it doesn't work all the time, which is the reason I bought a hand press in the first place...

it's the same press you are talking about... i like it really well...i've loaded a ton of ammo on that thing..... my primer catcher was missing when i got it from my bro in law about 25 yrs ago. i just slide my garbage can over under the press when i'm depriming.. it seems to catch most of em....

an empty margarine tub and cable ties could be useful... Made a magnum sized catcher for an old Rockchucker from cable ties, a snap ring and a cut off 3 liter bottle once.
