I have a reddot scope on my Super Redhawk and I'm not
liking what is happening. The dot goes dim after a few shots using factory ammo then brightens back up so I'm thinking
battery, but I am becoming dissatisfied with it. So what
would be a good scope for my SRH. Burris and Leupold
are kind of out of my budget so what would be a good one
to get.

Got a Weaver Classic 2.5x8 handgun scope mounted on a 6.5 Swede rifle that has taken the rifle's recoil just fine. They're not as pricey as the Burris or Leupold, but equally good scopes. Made in Japan, not China or other asian counties.

I've been purchasing like new 2x and 4x Leupold handgun scopes off Ebay for $110-125. Got a new one for $150. You might want to take a look there if you are interested in that buying "experience"

One of those scopes resides on the top of a 10" .480 Encore. Recoil is brutal compared to my 5" revolver chambed for the same round so I would be suprised if it wouldn't hold up in that application. Besides, it is aLeupold, they fix them if they break.

I second the Leupold 2x or 4x,I have had a 2x on my SRH 480 for 3 years now and no problems. I have shot 285gr Keiths at 1000 fps to 435gr WFNPB at 1250 fps.
