Hi, I have a Beretta A303 semi auto since 92, it has cycled around 15,000 rounds without any significant problems, as the duck season has started in our area I have observed that flames are coming out of the bolt/breech area when I fire. This was confirmed yesterday when I was shooting dove & took an over head shot whithout eye protection, I got powder residue in my right eye.
I would be grateful if any remidial measures are suggested.
There are no qualified Beretta smiths in our area.

I have a Bret, A303 as well and I dont think there,s anything wrong with your gun.
I have noticed when using heavy rounds you do get a bit of flame and powder residue that gets flicked out the action,Ive got alittle in my eye while shooting this season.
I suggest If you reload to try to find a cleaner burning powder or increase wad pressure to try and get the powder to burn a bit cleaner.
HS-6 is bad for this so Im trying a new powder out to see if its any better.
