I recently bought some Lil Gun and WSF at a local dealer sale. I bought the powders for 44 cal loads, but can find little info on them. Any one have experience with these powders or can point me in the right direction?

Jim,
I have a older Winchester 15th load data pamplet that lists loads for the WSF, WSL, or WAP plus the W540 or 571 for about any auto-loading handgun loads. I'll pass on any data that might be listed. They show data for WSF in 9mm, 10mm, 40S&W, or 45acp.

That would be a great help. I load for 44's 45 acp and have been thinking about 9mm only because I can.

Kingfish or whomever might have some data...
I have a rather large amount of WAP that I have no data for now...I have been looking and looking...but I would like to find some real-world experience with this powder...what it shoots like and such.
I know that Ramshot Silhouette is the old WAP in a new wrapper, but data for that stuff is kinda shy...I downloaded their manual but wasn't too impressed with the range of calibers they use it with.
My main goal is to use it with 357 Mag silhouette loads, as well as 45 WinMag and 44 Mag. All these loads are used in a Contender single shot.
As I am also looking...I was curious as to its usability in perhaps a 22 Hornet? This would be in a Win. 43 rifle.
Thanks for any help.

The 15th edition Winchester pamplet I have shows using WAP with all the bottom feeders or semi's but only shows using W231 or 296 with the 44s or 357. I have used WAP in 357 with 125JHP and 44spl but not in the bigger 44mag case. They show using WAP in the 10mm case which is fair sized and the 45acp.
10mm 180JHP:
W231 5.2-5.8grns at 950-1050fps and WAP 7.5-8.4grns at 1110-1210fps.
You could do some math and find something that might work but it might work best with small cases or something.
45ACP 230JHP WAP from 6.1-6.6grns for 760-835fps or 230LRN from 6.6-7.3grns for 845-915fps.

edit: If I remember right, standard primers worked better than mag primers.
