I had a7X57 Mauser Ackley Improved rifle, custom built.
That was the easy part finding load data seems to be the
hard part. Any help would be appreciated??
For an improved version of any cartridge, you use the published data for the unimproved cartridge and carefully work up loads in increments, usually 1/2 grain at a time for any given bullet type and weight.
Used to have a 7x57 AI and found it gained approx. 5% in case capacity and an equal gain in velocity.

Sorry it took me so long. Thanks for the information.

I have loads listed from 130gr bullets to 175gr bullets, using a variety of powders with resulting velocity from 2770fps to 3120. They are listed P.O. Ackley's "Handbook For Shooters and Reloaders", Vol 1, page 390. I have not had much luck scanning and e-mailing, but I will try if you need it. All of the powders listed are older, and there no brands listed. Powder listed just marked 4895, and I am guessing it would be H4895 as opposed to IMR4895. I do not know if they are equivelent from a ballistic standpoint.
