Understand this is a true wildcat. I have another .30-30 I may play around with sometime this winter and am curious about using 200grn GC at 2000fps--sounds good to me or even heavier like up to 300grain. The 94 is slim and handy. The big bore is on the hefty size. Any ideas? Surely a rebore is in store but too any problems with the follower with a larger bullet? Should not be. mmmm. Also am curious would a Pre64 version as that is what the wildcat would come from handle the pressure consistently opposed to the newer versions of 1980 on up? What about turning this into a AI version---I do like that shoulder and the positve benefits of Parkers work. Commercial rounds are not my interest in this realm, so the .307, .356 and .375 are out of the picture. Dies are still available I am told but have not researched anything yet-you know how that goes when your on to something ---go team go! Another thing is this Win 94/pre may need some parts as it does not hold in the "cocked" position and hammer pull seems to difficult. Had my brother in law work this over some years back an something needs to be addressed. I have saved or filed the illustrated take down at one time an will this winter will break this down but where can I get some used parts for this levergun? I do not want to leave it in storage as it was my Uncles favorite rifle many years back and some family members slavaged parts from it--time for restoration and use. Thanks.
