I typically shoot budget .22's, since my kids tend to burn up quite a few rounds when we're out plinking, but I always dread the cleanup afterwards. There's usually a fair amount of crud that comes from these rounds, leaving the barrels and actions pretty dirty.
Today I ran 100 rounds of Federal Spitfires through my Marlin 39A. When I took it apart to clean it this evening, I was almost ecstatic - the gun was so clean it looked like it had't been fired! I'm curious to know what other brands of ammo folks on this list have found to be clean burning. My son says Winchester Super-X .22's seem to run pretty cleanly through his Smith 22A.
