Check around for best prices on your Lee Anniversary Loading Kit as the prices will vary from dealer to dealer. Once you know what you want it shouldn't be too hard to find a good price. Yes, you will need a die set for each caliber that you reload with some exceptions such as your .44 Special/.44 Magnum in which case, one die will load both cartridges. The .38 Special/.357 Magnum die set, among others, is also a dual purpose set. Welcome to reloading and procede slowly at first until you are familiar with the process. :)

I'd check some of these sites for starters:
www.boseguns.com
www.midwayusa.com
www.midsouthshooterssupply.com
www.natchezss.com
Also may want to check ebay as you might be able to get a good deal on one.

Another question- I ordered some reloading manuals- what Powder should I buy?
H335 is basically the powder used for 5.56 NATO rounds. I use H4895 and it works quite well for me, but I don't mind the issues with "log" powders. Varget and WW760 are also fine choices, as are many others.
Hercules 2400 is the default powder the 44Mag. Accurate #9 works extremely well. I use Unique for 44 special (and 38 special) loads, and H110 for full power loads. I don't recommend starting out with H110 as it is a ... temperamental ... powder. I would recommend starting with 2400 or #9.
As for the 45-70, just about every powder ever manufactured has been used in it successfully. You would be hard pressed to find a bad one. I use H4895 (I use it in almost every rifle cartridge anyway), and H870 (or equivilent...) for reduced loads.
So to answer your question...
Rifles: Start with H4895 (or IMR4895, noting they are sligthly different), since you will be able to find a load in one of the books for just about any rifle cartrige ever built, and work from there based on how your rifle behaves. IMHO, if you can't find a load that works good enough for hunting purposes wit 4895 (either) in your rifle, your rifle has a problem!
Pistols: There is a load listed in a book using Unique for almost every pistol cartrige. There may be one or two that are listed for as many, but none more. It is a good starting point, and very versatile. It also works well for some reduced loads in rifles. It is a very versatile powder.
The Exceptions:
If you have a "Magnum" rifle, ignore anything I post.
If you want to shoot pure target, ignore anything I post.
If you are looking to be "cheap"...
