Evaluation of Remington rimfire ammo
I observed several cases of severe leading (or some sort of HEAVY crud deposit) with club shooters recently. This comes with only a very few rounds fired. I tried it in my revolver and had the same results.
Now, deep in the storage I have some Remington ammo purchased at the close of gunstore in 1980.
Wiped it off and fire 36 rounds and nowhere Near the buildup of crud I saw at the club.
I sumize that there has been a dive in quality control at Big Green sometime after the early eighties. I suggest staying away from Remington rimfire ammo altogether.
I have very good accuracy in all 6 rimfires that I own with Winchester, Federal, and Wolf ammunition.
