Just a note to those who ship overseas, or here in the states as well, if you go to the post office and pickup their priority box (Free) it is 8x11x2 roughly, holds standard sized magazines with no problems, you can ship it regaurdless of weight anywhere (like APO's) for $7.95. Sent some hunting rags and gun rags over to Iraq, would have been 22 or 23 $ each instead was only $7.95. Wonder if I could order my lead that way????Not sure it works for businesses.

It sure does. Marshall will send you bullets that way. Just request. You have to watch out on bulky , light stuff. You can come out cheaper on that stuff with regular postage. they are called flat rate boxes and they work great. I guess we have sent about 6 so far to the sandbox.
marshall is the one that told me about them and the more bullets you buy the better the deal.

Just a word of warning - postal workers might get a bit upset if the box is being held together by tape.

Regarding bullet shipments: WE DO USE Flat-Rate Priority Mail to ship bullets and any other items we sell to all APO's, and by-the-way, we are caught up on orders at this time and shipping most orders within 1-4 days.

Marshall, if you're willing to put in the time (and perhaps, more importantly, postage to the APO center), you can get many, many free magazine subscriptions from the following link (people transferring their subscriptions)
There are also a bunch of free subscriptions in the free stuff forum. I've gotten Field and stream and a couple other mags for the last couple years free that way.

Still no APO sent to me, but if someone is interested the magazines are piling up, and I'd be glad to send them on to our troops.
Thanks to all you gentlemen!

Hope you folks don't see this as spam, that's not my intention. If you're making Christmas care boxes or whatever, this info might be helpful.
I know there is a need for SureFire lights over there
LA Police Gear (and a few other places) have gotten a supply of "Wine Light" branded SureFire lights (the real thing, the only difference is the color (I don't know if they are hard anodized - they might just be "regular" anodized)
Anyways, they are quite a bit cheaper than the regular surefire lights. The site also has free shipping and 10% off if you ship to an APO.
http://www.lapolicegear.com/sue2wwilicl.html
They also have a surefire pistol light for the M9 at a really good price.
BTW.. Does anyone know where you can find cheap batteries for these lights? A year ago I remember seeing the batteries for 50 cents each, now they've doubled in price.

My wife and I use the Priority Flat Rate boxes to ship items to our 3 sons who are with the 3rd Battalion 297th Infantry at this time in support of OIF. As long as it is being shipped to an FPO or APO they can be used.

AlleninAlaska,
Thanks for the addresses, and thank you to your sons for their service to our country. Three sons in combat. Please know that we support your boys 110%, as we do your family for their sacrifice. We pray for their safe return.
