I'm hunting with my '54 94 and I'm looking for the best way to carry it since it does not have swivels of any way to attach a strap.
Any help greatly appreciated!

Hello,
I fitteda sling to my Buddy's Marlin M36(old ,pre M336)carbine because, after his operation,he could no longer carry it in his hand.
Th Win '94 is easier to carry;I have no problem carrying mine in my hand.
You can get a barrelband with swivel base, and attach it to the magazine barrel. Then fit a swivel base into the bottom ofthe buttstock.Fit the swivels and sling for dragout time.

Hangfire,
If you don't want to alter the gun, there is a sling that you can get that is designed to slip over the barrel and the butt sits in a web "pocket". You can then carry it like a regular sling. You do need to make sure it is carried muzzle up so that it doesn't slip out of the "pocket". Doesn't look great but it does work. I am afraid I don't remember who made it though.

I made my own tie-on sling attachments from brown parachute cord. Burned/melted the ends to prevent fraying. Used a double half hitch knot. The actual carrying strap is made from a new leather belt I found at a 2nd Hand shop for $1.00.
It is attached with a loop (kind of like a hem) and fastened with a bit of Liquid Nail and small 1/4"-20 bolts, washers, and nuts.
Looks fine and works well for me.
