I am looking for pet loads for a 14" Hunter .35 Rem. I would like to use the SSP 180 bullet, but I'm open to your recommendations. I will be using this for deer out to 250 yards max.

I just got off the phone with one of my hunting and shooting buddies and he shoots a 35 Remington barrel in the Contender and it too is a Super 14" Hunter barrel. Here is his most accurate load:

CASE: Remington .35 Remington

PRIMER: CCI-200

POWDER: H-322 / 38.0 gr.

BULLET: Hornady 180 gr. SSP

This load out of Mr. Julians barrel will hover around an inch for either 3-shot or 5-shot groups at 100 yards...

Reduce this load by 10% and work up carefully, watching for pressure signs. No one but you are responsible for the loads that you shoot in your guns....
