Here yesterday, in central MO, I darn near smacked into a huge buck who was sweet talking his girl friend in the middle of the black top at about 2pm. Anyone else seen any pre ret activity going on? Getting excited seasons only a couple of weeks away!

Here yesterday, in central MO, I darn near smacked into a huge buck who was sweet talking his girl friend in the middle of the black top at about 2pm. Anyone else seen any pre ret activity going on? Getting excited seasons only a couple of weeks away!

I was driving in Madison toady and a small 6 point walked to the edge of the city street and decided not to cross right in front of me. Kind of made me mad. Simply because I usually only see one buck a year. And now I've gone and seen him before I'm sitting in my blind!

Have seen a lot of dead deer- some were bucks!- along the roads. Drove from Columbia, MO to St Louis today and counted 9 dead (3 bucks) in the East bound. Too dark to count on the return trip.

SEVEN DAYS AND FOUR HOURS TO GO TO OPENING OF DEER SEASON!!!!!

Yes Sir nuprofessor! I've got my 1895g ready to sling poison bright and early on Nov 12. I'll only get to hunt a few days, as my class schedule eats up a great deal of my time right now, but look out for next season! I've got plans to hunt for a month next fall. Good luck next sat! Carefull out on I70, and WW for that matter.
