Can anyone tell me about the Savage Model 111FC? How is it? Any good for whitetail? Any problems? Price? Stay away? Suggestions please

Price is "probably" around $400 - $450 in stores, based on other similar models by Savage in Walmart's catalog. Don't see why you should stay away from it. Savage makes a good rifle, and they are offering chamberings in loads well known to kill deer ... 30-06 just one of those.

Savage is fine and you get what you pay for apply here. I think this thread will get moved. I like Savage and what they make.
