I bought an savage 110 syntetic stock, and they don't fit on my SAVAGE MODEL 110 CAL. 30-06 SPRING.

My barrel not fit on the stock, the stock is more larger then the barrel. The seller ask me what type of rifle is mine, long or short, and i said that is long.

what is the differences between long and short action? is the barrel? it is my problem? i should buy a short action rifle stock? or buy another barrel?

Your action is a standard or long action, not a short action. Maybe the fellow that ordered it for you ordered one for a varmint or bull barrel? That or there is a QC mix up.

There are basicly 3 action lenghts on a savage, you realy need to know the distance/ measurment , between the stock bolts.
