I want to buy a Winchester Model 94 Trapper .357 Mag.
In the local gun shop there is a 2nd hand Model 94 AE .357 with a 16" barrel for sale, with saddle ring. How can I be shure this is a model Trapper? The shop owner is a Marlin fan and isn't a big help.

If it has a 16" barrel, and hasn't obviously been shortened, it is a Trapper. That is the only differentiating feature of the Trapper.

I registered under another email adress because I'm having troubles logging in under "Louis", but I speak for the same person, that's me! Lotje is a kind name for Louis in Dutch, you know.
So I'm VERY greatful with your answer, I think I must go to the shop tomorrow, oh yes.
Thanks again
