Well just put some cash down on this new/used gun and am going to go pick it up tonmarrow. The thing looks brand new and it cycles like a dream. I was woundering if there is any way I can get some more information on this piticular rifle. as far as when it was made and so forth. Will wincester send me information? I think it isn't more than a few years old so it is not a colectors item by any means. just interested.

Congratulations on your find. They are nice rifles. As far as dating your 9422, Winchester may be your best bet. For some reason the 9422's seem to be difficult to find much info about.

OK how about a nice sling for this gun. anyone know of a good place. I want to get one of them deal that I don't have to put in swivel mounts just thinking about on them slings that lace onto the stock and loop around the barrel. I know i can do a search (which I am going to do shotly) but just wanted to see if anyone had good brands out there that they like.

Well called customer service today and they were really helpful and gave me the date it was made right away, they must get this same type of call all the time cause she had the info right there for me. the gun a just got was made in 1973. I think I might write them a letter requesting a letter with that information so I can keep it with the rifle although I dought the rifle will ever be worth anything exspecially because I am sure it will get a little banged up.
