Has anyone got any experience with the Leupold Rifleman series scopes? Was wanting to put one on a NEF .45-70 and a Marlin .30-30. Just curious how they are performing? Wally World has them for a good price!

Thanks for that link! I did a little research and found that the Rifleman and VX-I are 3 piece scopes. They are also causing problems on rifles with high recoil. Also, quite a few folks are saying the low-light performance is poor as compared to say a Burris FFII for the same money! Thought I would share that intel!

I'll be straightforward and offer my opinion. The Rifleman is one on the most overpriced and over rated scopes on the market. They simply do not compare with the similarly priced Fullfield II and Buckmasters. Without the Leupold name, it would just be another $65 scope. I bought a 2-7x33 to mount on a No. 1 and was never impressed with the scope. Clarity was about the same as my Bushnell Trophy, not to mention being twice as much. Plus, there are no click adjustments.
The only good thing about the scope was its compactness, but that was about it.
Personally, I think you are better off avoiding the Rifleman and VX-I lines of scopes all together. They are nothing more than cheap entry level scopes with the Leupold name. The Fullfield II, Nikon Buckmasters, and Elite 3200's are much better scopes at the same price.
