I realize this is an old post, but I have a little experience on the Sako Optilocs and Talleys.

I like the Talley's much more than the Opti's. They are better and cheaper. The Optilocs are too high, too expensive, and those darn hex head screws drove me bonkers. :mad:

Warne mounts are good to go, and Leupold rings served me well on a Sako .300 Win mag. No complaints.

But, my favorite hunting rings are made by Conetrol. They are the best, IMHO.

I've not had any experience with the Warne QD mounts, but I like the standard Warne mounts on my Ruger Super Redhawk.

I have to agree with cheaptrick about the conetrol. They are just plain great mounts.
