I have the Bushnell Yardage Pro Compact 600, I took it away on my last hunting trip and all I could get and or still can get is an error on the bottom of the display saying "Er6" Does anyone have any ideas on what that error is and or a possible fix for it?? Thanks

To answer your question, I have no clue.
To move on to a more important issue regarding rangefinders, The Bushnell models are bottom feeders. I would not use one if it were given to me... Why? Well, because a rangefinder is something that MUST be perfectly accurate and repeatable, every time, no matter what. After all, a rangefinder is really only necessary at distances past 300 yards, if even that close for most medium to big bore chamberings. At that point (300+ yards) is where the bullets really start do dive down as they lose velocity.
On the trajectory curve, the amount of drop over time increases significantly, making it increasingly important that you know just how far you are from your target. At 500 yards, with a .308, 10-15 yards 'error' can be the difference between a hit or miss.
Therefore, I suggest you get Bushnell to repair/replace your rangefinder, then sell it so you get at least a little money back. Then, "take the hit" and start saving money for a rangefinder you can count on ... like one of the higher end Nikons, or possibly a Leica 1200 scan.
The last piece of advice, is to get a rangefinder that is rated to a distance to at least 1.25x the max range you intend to shoot. Why? Because it's at the end of the spectrum that the rangefinder starts to lose accuracy. A "600" model (rated to 600 yards) will usually only get you out to 600 yards if all conditions (target, weather, amount of sunlight) are perfect. In foul weather and conditions, I'd expect a "600" model to be good only to maybe 425 yards or so ...
If it were me, I'd save up money and get a Leica 1200 scan model. They are superb... trustworthy, accurate, repeatable, and have excellent optical clarity so that you can see something 800 yards away and range it with confidence.

I don't know what the error code is. Might try taking the battery out for a miniute and then put back in. Sorta "master reset" and see if it helps.
