Anyone heard about a "special" run of these. This didn't appear to be the New limited end of life editions...

CDNN offered a special run of 9422's with case colored receivers about a year ago. The Trapper series (16"barrel) had serial numbers 3TEX***. The Traditional series (20"barrel) had serial numbers 1TEX***. I don't recall if they offered a 9422M in this group, but I'll bet if you check the serial numbers on the 9422M's you're looking at and they start 2TEX*** they came from CDNN.

I purchased a Trapper case colored 9422 about 6 months ago. It was the 22 LR model. I paid 429.00 plus tax. They also make a Trapper case colored 9422 in 22 mag. I hope this helps. PS... It is a very light, handy rifle. This one has a good trigger ( for a lever action ) and is accurate also. Rod

Ended up gettin a 1 of 9422 model 9422M Legacy for x-mas.. had it to the range. Real nice shooter... I'm going to have to think about a scope or some sort of peep site. This thing is accurate
