I was curious why an attachment doesn't show half the time to be able to see it. I put an attachment in the Trading Post and sometimes it's there and sometimes not. Not even an icon there?

Most likely it's not waiting for the picture to up load or not clicking on "Add This File". There's some more advice towrads the end of this thread.

I've found the images have to be under a hundred thousand bites to go.

If you go advanced and to manage attachments on the bottom you can attach photos there. You just have to resize them to be under that hundrred thousand bites or they are to big.

Once your in the manage attachments box you can go browse and pick the photo you want to attach. Once you open it click add this file. It takes a while for the photo to clear the beartooth computer so you will have to wait a few minutes while that's happening. The box will then show that the file is attached.

You can attach up to five pix.

I have a file folder in my pictures folder that I keep reduced photos in. There are several software programs that will reduce photos, I have Adobe Elements so that is the one that I use. I understand there are several free ones available, but don't know what they are.

If you want to email me the photo's I will reduce them and attach them to your post.

The image size is 640 x 480. I saw it before and you just need click on it to enlarge it. Now I don't see it...at least on this computer. Looks like if it were there initially, it would be there all the time.

Which post is it? Sometimes strange things happen on this board, and it may have been deleted accidently. If you edit the post, you can attach a picture later.

If anyone wants hosting for big pictures, email me and I'll throw them up on my server for you. You can link to them then so the dialup users don't get all mad ;)

The picture is always there for me. I wonder if your browser settings, anti-spyware software or firewall is blocking it.

Is anyone else having trouble seeing the picture?

There for me as well. Some spyware programs will block images or links to images.

Hmmmmm...odd how it appears at times, however. I guess I'm somewhat "overgunned" in the security department-about twelve spyware programs, Zone Alarm Pro, avast Pro and a Linksys router. Only takes a crash one time to make you more security conscious! Must be a setting in my firewall or Firefox. No big thing-just thought it may be just me.
