Before I order one of these can anyone tell me if they are able to be fitted with differant barrels from the factory? I know the recievers are strong enough to handle anything they offer, but was wondering if they would do it with this particular model. I think I will order it with a 450 Marlin barrel, 25/06 or 22/250 (if they offer it) and a 35 Rem or 357 mag to rechamber to 358 win That should cover about anything that needs killin. I owned a 270 synthetic handi awhile back and could not get it to group worth beans. Found out the cheap BSA scope I bought was bad. I then bought a Buschnell and had the same problem. I then remounted the scope and tried differant ammo 4 differant kinds. Still no groups worth beans. I then traded it of for a new 1895m. I ran into the guy who bought it and he figured out it was the buschnell scope. It took him some time also to figure it out. It is one of those kick myself for getting rid of it things. Anyway I have a nice Luepold VXII 3X9 with H&R written all over it.

Thanks for any info or tips for a new H&R Shooter.

Sincerely,

AL

The Survivor just has a different stock on an SB2 frame, same frame the other SB2 rifles. If you get one that doesn't shoot good, you can always return it to H&R for repair, they'll make it right for ya and reimburse you for shipping, many members at Graybeard Outdoors NEF/H&R forum have done it and were extremely satisfied with the results.

If you want a .357mag barrel, you'd better get on the stick, they don't make it anymore, but they did have some left earlier this year from a small run they made. They offer the .22-250 in several flavors, 22" blued and stainless bull and a 24" fluted bull.
