Here is a really nice 10 point my father killed this year in S. Arkansas. I know he won't brag on himself, so I will do it for him.

Tell your Dad that he got himself a real nice deer. Looks to me like the deer was getting the best of him in a couple of those pistures. :D

Is that an Old Timer or an Uncle Henry knife?

It is actually a Schrade. I have an Old Timer just like it though.

I always thought you guys down south jumped on them from the trees and killed them with a swift bite ti the back of the neck like the big cats! How the heck did I get so misinformed.

Tell your dad it looks like he got himself a Very Nice deer!

Very nice buck! Like those tine lengths. Looks like a nice effective shoulder/behind the shoulder shot. Give us the details on the weapon & bullet! Congrats.

I would count that point at the right eye guard if I was you. Man!! that's a good one for sure. Details are always of interest. Oh. There is an interesting report by our state biologist that is out. I will try to get the link put up.

The bite to the back of the neck is a little too easy for some of us. If you use a knife you can only hold on with one hand!

He put it down with one shot from a Remington 243 adl. He was 100g Remington core lokt. It was a behind the shoulder shot. The deer ran approximately 25 yards before he dropped. The eye guard had apparently been broken off, and wasn't quite 1" off the main beam. (arkansas point standard)
