I'm bidding on a 7.62 x 39 Encore pistol barrel. Its 10 inch., in .308 bore. Anyone have loads for this short barrel. Can any .308 bullet work in the TC? Thanks for any info. I think a 10 inch barrel would make a great short range deer gun. I bet it will be .."LOUD" !!! ,Jeff

Your standard 7.62 x 39 military round does use .311. But most US made guns go too .308. Dies come with .311 and .308 ball expander. TC uses the .308 bore. So does Ruger. ,Jeff
