I really don't think you can go past a Ruger single six for single action .22s . Complete with the .22mag cylinder ,you get 2 for the price of one & a ****ed fine tool in the bargin

I have actually found two alternatives. Found an old Colt Peacemaker in .22 with both cylinders, and looking at the Ruger 50th Anniversary edition. Has the gloss finish like the colt. I just liked the case coloring of the Uberti, but the colt has it too, but not the Ruger.

Heritage has a case colored too, has both cylinders, for under $200.00.

I don't know anything about the uberti. I do agree with Dave H on the Ruger Single Six. I have one and love it. like Dave says you get 2 guns for the price of one. a .22lr and a .22 wmr and the are darned good guns.

I too vote for the Ruger. A little bending of one spring and clipping of another and you have a trigger that is soooo sweeeet! and a mighty accurate shooter--plus they feel good in your hand!

They've been trying to sell 2 Heritages at the local pawn for a while. There sure seem to be alot of nasty edges.
