I'll move this to the Aussie forum, as it should get quicker attention there.

will your app be different form a new licence app?
ring the Firearms registry and ask one of the birds there what to put down,
maybe charity work?

I think you have to apply for a New license having moved states & under the section of have you ever been refused or banned from holding a license explain the details ! Remembering the data base is Australia wide now . a letter or two of charicter referance or two never goes amiss in these cases & remember you do have the right to apeal the Registrars desision,in these cases ! If you are refused they must explain why you have been denied & then you can take the matter to the tribunral & in a lot of cases you will win (I've had several run ins with firearm branches & have found them very sympthetic when it has gone further than the front office as it were ! Plus each state seems to want to be a little differerant to it's nieghbour
;)
