I agree! I like Mikes writing and enjoy his wide range of interests.
I enjoy reloading, bullet casting and fooling around with obsolete cartridges.
Mike is right about the file. Anyone can quickly learn to operate power tools (it does take time to become very good I admit). But, the two most difficult tools to use and master are the hacksaw and file. If a person can use a file they can do anything. Note I said person and not man. I know several female Airframe and Powerplant Mechanics who have long ago earned the title "Master Mechanic."
I dont care for the "new" term Loonie. I prefer the older term of "crank." Not sure why.
This does bring up a request. In my office I have pictures of three gunsmiths hanging on the wall. Harry Pope at his lathe, P. O. Ackley at his lathe and Fred Ziegler holding a Mauser action. If anyone has any pictures of othere craftsmen at work I would sure like to see them. A picture of current smiths would be interesting. Kenny Jarrett, John Linebaugh, Hamilton Bowen or Veral Smith.

Be careful in how you use the word "crank" someone might try to sell you some funny looking tan crystaly stuff.
My wife refers to me as a "gun maniac" and a "reloading room recluse" who only comes out to eat, hunt, go to work and watch football or NASCAR. :D
