About a month ago I went upland bird hunting at a local game farm. They had several mounted specimens of the birds they had available to hunt. But one "bird" really caught my eye and I was not sure what it was. Curious to know more about the "bird" I asked the owner what it was. The owner of the farm explained to me that he had successfully mated a Chukar and a Chinese Ringneck Pheasant. I asked him what he called this new "bird".

WELL here goes............he said he just combined the two names to get one: the bird was a "PH UKAR" (but take the space out between the H and the U).

Honest to GOD that is what he called it. He even said the name had been patented!!!

Ofcourse it was a bird that had the head of a Pheasant and the body of a Chukar much in the same way a "Jackalope" is created.
