I am sure this has been discussed before but I am looking for a good cast bullet for my .35 Rem. I am guessing around a 200gr., something good for practice and possibly deer hunting. I am wondering what has worked well for other people. My rifle is a Rem 760 pump. thanks Mike B.

I like the RCBS 35-200-FN so well that I use nothing else in a 336CS. sundog

The RCBS is excellent. Have shot it in several .35 Rem and always does well, including one Model 8 Rem it would do under 1".

You're gonna turn me into a RCBS fan! Thanks Mike B.

Does anyone have experience with Lyman 358430... especially in a Marlin .35 Rem? What as-cast diameters can I expect from a newly manufactured mould?
Thanks,
MC

I've got another bullet mould question:
What diameter bullets are currently manufactured RCBS 35-200-FN's dropping in say, Lyman#2?

I have a special order in the works with Lee Precision. I wanted another tumble lube bullet with the Micro-BandsĀ®. This one is the TLC359-180-RF. This ISN'T a group buy, I only ordered four molds for testing. It's a bore riding design to keep the bullet in the neck of the short case. I'm pretty excited about getting the molds from Lee but it will still be a few weeks yet as their process is very slow.
Once I get the molds I want to verify the performance of the bullet and do some pressure trace testing with it. The final step is to try it out on some of my hogs to make sure it drops them in their tracks.
I've also got another special order in for a TLC379-210-RF for the Marlins chambered in 375 Win.

I just cast these bullets tonight in my new mold I just got. I cast them with my mix being 18# of WW & 3# of 50/50 bar solder to make my ingots. They weigh 206-207gr without gas check or lube so I imagine when lubed and gas checked they'll weigh over 210gr.

Sorry! Forgot to add what you asked for! They mike out at .359 with that mix.

Mike, when you get around to shooting them, we need a range report; loads, distance, group size, etc. Fun, huh? sundog
btw, did I ever mention about liking RCBS moulds? Naw, prolly not. But, I do.

I can't wait to try them. If they're as good as the ones you guided me to for the .32 Spec. I'll be thrilled. I'll give you a report asap but this working for a living and trying to keep management at the homestead happy sure puts a cramp in your style. thanks Mike B.
