So I'm approaching this eagerly. I feel like hunting feral species around the state is a good way to stay active and still bring home some good animals to show for it. I'm interested in smallish game that i can camp +eat. But I like the idea of filling the freezer. I'm waiting to hear back from some state people but I thought I'd ask. Whats good hunting year round. Are feral animals such as pigs and yotes maybe donkeys good eats? I'd like to stay within an hour or so of seattle. Is there even territory to hunt that close to town?
Much appreciated

Hey, I'm new to the forum but I've been lurking for awhile now . I read your post and thought I'd register in order to answer it. Pigeons, yep pigeons you can shoot them any ol' time as long as you are in a place that allows the discharge of firearms . I don't think I would eat a city fed pigeon but I would certainly eat a grain fed counrty pigeon. You can shoot house sparrows and starlings as well. Good luck.

Shoot all Starlings on sight!! They are rasing havoc with our native bird species.

They do a number on the cherries as well, a flock can strip a tree in a heartbeat; I hate the little toads. They are pretty crafty too, you just think rifle a little too loud and they split. I also think they send in victims from the main flock to get your rifles range then they lurk just outside that range. Sneaky, they're varmits, we gotta get 'em.
