All...

I'm sporterizing a Kirkale Turk (6.5x55 Shaw barrel, custom stock w/ H.S. Precision style high comb and Schnabel forestock, etc.) and I want to put a receiver / peep sight on it. I like the Lyman globe-style front sights, but am uncertain about which rear sight rig to use. I like the WGRS for neatness/compactness but it isn't as adjustable as a Foolproof.

Please help me out by suggesting some positive alternatives! Many thanks.

I have a Williams FP on one of my 1885's. A superb sight. Lyman makes very nice receiver sights as well. NECG maks a sight that mounts on a Weaver base. Another possibility would be one of the Williams sights that replace a standard rear sight. Go to www.midwayusa.com and type in "receiver sight" into the search box.

Another sight system to check out is Mojo. Front and rear appiture sights that replace stock sights. As you do have an after market barrel, I would look into Lyman!

Thanks, Gents. I've looked at the the Mojo rig, but since I'm using a new barrel I guess I'm pretty much limited to Williams and Lyman.
