Silencers are not legal here!

Silencers are perfectly legal here, with the appropriate paperwork. That said, silencers are not widely used here as a result of said paperwork and the tax stamp that goes along with it. There may be some states which do not allow a suppressor, as they are often called here.

Sorry not to be of more help, but wanted to correct the misinformation.

OK, you got me. “Machine guns” (full-auto or select-fire guns, including burst-mode capable guns), sound suppressors (“silencers”), short-barreled rifles (barrels under 16 inches) and shotguns (under 18 inches), handguns with shoulder stocks, and certain other unusual guns fall under federal law, and involve special federal forms and fees.

Try contacting www.ukpursuits.com they are there in the UK, I am sure that you can get the information you are looking for, or at least put in contact with the proper contacts needed to find a silencer or silencer manufacturer. Mr Neil Price is the moderator, and is an avid shooter. Hope this helps.
