I shoot and hunt a lot, but don't know that much about 22's.
In you guys opinion, what is the best .22 ammo available to keep those auto rifles shooting without a hang up.
I've had 10/22's, model 60's and even the Browning autos hang up.
I have to admit, I don't clean them much. But even a new one seems to jam up more frequently than expected.
Thx a lot
Tom

I shoot a lot of two different kinds with no jamming issues. I like CCI mini mags, and Winchester Power Points. Whatever you do, don't use that cheap Wolfe ammo. It is the dirtiest ammo I have ever shot and will jam up about any gun inb just a few shots.

The thing about auto's is you have to keep them clean. They will jam if you don'ty clean and oil them. Bolt gun .22's you can shoot all year and not clean. Can't do that with Auto's. Keep them clean and use good ammo.

CCI seems to shoot the most consistent, and be cleaner than most!

PMC "Zappers" also cycle auto loaders well.

CCI is what I normally shoot, but amazingly I have shot some Remington yellowjackets that have actually been accurate and haven't been dirty to shoot. But for pure hunting I stick to stingers.

I've never tried CCI. Usually a brick of Win or Rem cheap stuff.
I'll try CCI and see how it does.
\Thx again

CCI mini mags here too!! The waxy film on the bullet keeps them cycling smoothly through the clips and into the chamber. I was using some Remington High Velocity hollow points and they would hang up in the clip of my 10/22.

I think you've answered your own question here. Most of the cheap stuff will turn any good auto loader into a jam-o-matic. I've also had more problems with the cheap Remington bulk ammo not firing at, probably more so than all the others combined. Decent ammo and a good cleaning should solve your problem.

The CCI Mini Mags are usually very accurate in all of my .22's. It's the only .22 ammo I buy anymore, unless I testing something new.
