I would like some information on a Marlin Model 93 .30-30 serial # listed: A26xx, 20" octagon bbl.

Receiver has traces of case hardening. Barrel marked Special Smokeless Steel.

The 1893 is the first of this frame size. In 1936 it became the Model 1936, in '37 the Model 36, and in 1948, when they put a round bolt in it, it became the 336.
