Can anyone tell me if a Marlin model C3030 is the same as a model 336? My C3030 has gold lettering on it.

No - the barrel says:

MOD. C3030 Micro Groove barrel 30/30 WIN.

And it is written in Gold lettering.

It was made for another store, can't remember who off the top of my head, but is the same as a 336.
