For recent production 39A's, say 1950's or later, were factory original straight stocks available other than the Mountie and the Article II?

Yes....They made a 39 carbine from about 1963-67. Its not a 39A but its the only one I know of with the straight stock other than the 39M that your talking about.

While, technically, they weren't listed as 39's, in 2001 Marlin offered the 1897 Cow Boy, and in 2003 the shorter barreled 1897 Texan. They were basically straight stock, octagonal barreled 39's.

Well, I guess i should have sharpened up my question a bit. I was thinking of recent manufacture, like after 1950, but pre-crossbolt safety models.

My '56 39a has a straight stock.
