Can anyone advise me on locating and their experience with the +P and +P+ loads, What grain and brand, also for target and hunting. I do not reload, Maybe Double Tap?

CorBon ammo makes 3 different weights of .45 Colt +P. I haven't shot any, but I load my own .45 Colt ammo to +P levels, with 300 gr bullets, and like them alot.

Thanks for the info, I'll try to order some of each and see the results. I Really do appreciate your help and that of others, THE SHOOTERS FORUM is a real asset to me and I am glad to be a member!

Thanks again, I hardly wait to roll a critter with one of them. It seems that the Bobcats ain't scared yet, this too will pass! Should be nothing left but a pile of fur and a piece of a tail!

All I can say John is if you want to get the most out of a .45 colt you need to load for it. reloading for the colt is just as much fun as shooting. mild cowboy loads all the way to +P screamers are easy to load. no matter, the colt is just plain fun to shoot. Jim.
