I just orderd a 45-70 NEF from wallyWorld, should take a couple of weeks to arive, I'm new to the 45-70 caliber and am looking for some good 'light' 100 meter target loads, any suggestions? I reload, but do not cast my own bullets.

Did you have them check inventory first? Their supplier has been out of stock on the 45-70 for quite a while, they still are as of right now, don't be disappointed if it doesn't come in as soon as they said. You can check inventory at Sports South's web site.
For load data, I would buy a copy of the 45-70 LoadbookUSA, it has load data from every bullet and powder Mfr for $7, Sportsmans Warehouse sells em as well as does Midway.

if you don't want to reload might try some of the"cowboy loads" as offered from Blackhills or others.....

I would suggest starting with the load for the Trapdoor Springfield’s to begin with. I have a Marlin 1895 and the middling :D loads, designed for the 1895, are uncomfortable to shoot a box of. Currently I am loading 405gr Remington’s to about 1200 fps. Last week I shot 10 or so loaded at 1400 fps - too stout for me. I am going to try some at a wimpy 1100 fps next.
Your H&R will probably weigh less than my 1895, so I suggest start with light loads.
