My group is thinking of hunting CO's 4th season; Nov.15-19 in the area around Gunnison and Telluride area. My question is how bad has the weather been in this area for the past 4 years or so? I would like to keep from getting snowed-in if possible. :confused:

I haven't hunted that area, but I do know that the mountian snows can come any time durring the seaason... No matter what it's done in the past, I'd be prepared for the worst, and have a way to get some sort of weather report (having someone that can check the specific area on-line, and you can get a report from by cell phone has work well for me, but even a kind of local AM report may help you decied if it's time to pack out early).

Last year I go stranded during spring tukey season, in Souther CO... You just never know!!
