Yes, but I hate to lose him as Gov!
I've only been in the state a short time, but he appears to be sane, level headed.
Greenies, Sierra Clubbers, etal will dislike him.

Its about time the pendulum swung the other way for a while. Bureaucracies take a long time to change;, much slower than an administration. The feds have been closing many national forest roads around my area. Its part of the "roadless initiative." The public information is always "we are protecting the last of the roadless areas", but of course, the areas have been logged at least once in the past and there are lots of logging roads already there that hunters, etc. use. The feds are simply closing the existing roads. It really put a crimp in my moose hunt last fall. All the small roads in my hunting area were closed last summer. The fed plans for the future are changing somewhat, but past plans to lock up the land are proceeding quickly. Even after 5 years of Bush, the bureaucracy marches on. :(

Yes, it do march on!
Too many, too little to keep them occupied.

All the wild eyed ---------,---------(fill with adjutives of your choice) tree huggers swear there are only seven (7) trees left in the west and they need to be protected.

Kempthorne at least had the will to sue the Bush Admin over their plan to "reintroduce" (another species that is already there and doesn't need reintroducing) grizzlies into the Bitteroot region in 2000, and the USFWS ultimately withdrew that proposal in 2001. He has a fairly diverse background, having some "real" jobs in his life (worked for FMC Corp, then ID Homebuilders Assoc.), not a lifer politician. Then was the mayor of Boise, then US Senator, then Gov. Hopefully he'll look back on his life experiences as "Joe Citizen" to help guide his decisions in the Interior.

I agree with you Shawn. My thoughts are with Kemthorne with the Feds and he sees all the Anti-Wolf petitions signed hear in his home State, maybe we will be on our way to get rid of a big problem.

We have Grizzlies around here, definatly do not need another "introduction"
