I am originally from Missouri and have great memories of being afield in the ozark foothills as a kid. Now I am in upstate New York. Been here for a couple of years and am falling more in love with it everyday(even though it's new york,ha,ha). But seriously, the country is beautiful up here and there is 6 million acres in the adirondack park (half of that land owned by the state!) So there is always plenty of new places to explore. I included some pictures from the southern Adirondacks. The one with the turkey is of hen that attempted to run me down for getting to close to her poults during spring turkey season.

Somebody help me out with attaching pictures please. I reduced there size in my photo software, but this program still says they are to big to post. There has to be a trick with posting pictures that I am missing. Can anyone help? Thank you.

Nice pictures, but I still like the Smokies or the Rockies better.

Turkey looked like the hunting is good there.

I'll stay in the flatland. Those uphill grades would make for a long day for me.

Sorry about the photo quality. I am working on perfecting how to post quality pictures.

I'll bet the fall colors are amazing. Cool pics no matter the "poor"quality tonyo.

I recognise Buttermilk Falls... the other shots...there's so many ponds and mountains, could be lots of places up there.
The Adirondacks are truly a wonderful place.

Actually, the waterfall is of the lower falls on tenant creek, north of the sacandaga lake. I have been meaning to check out buttermilk falls though. I have seen pictures and have been meaning to check it out.
