Not realy hunting but I've been giving a mate a hand with some vermen in his sorgum. We got about 120 this morning, yesterday he did about 80 all up. His permit is for 700 and suposed to last 3 months but can be incresed if he needs to.

This is one of my yearly tasks around here Mainly Galahs . There was a problem with Correllas in Quorn it's self They tried Gas Guns the works in the end they offered to get the local shooting club involved but the council got all peculiar over that idea & so I ended up having to put in a quote for the job ! The shooting was conducted in a large creek bed that divids the Township (in more ways than one ) & was a dissmal failure on my part as I was constantly being visited by the local cop who was gettting complaints about "somebody shooting in the creek " I spent more time passing the time of day with him than doing my job ! As I was being payed a hourly rate it did'nt bother me all that much but the council could'ntvwork out why the birds were'nt thinning out

What kind of critters are you shooting? Vermin can encompass a pretty broad spectrum.

Cockies are a Native birds that breed to plauge propurttions & become a nusiance roungd any fruit,Nut, cerial crop & then have to be culled out! They also do great damage to Trees if in great numbers! Farmers are also known as Cockies ! There are two major types one being a Pink & Grey Parrot & a Large white parrot called a Correla (The Birds! Not the Farmers they are known by several different names :D )

This is a piture of a Galah . His a political refugee ! Our dog caught him & the wife rescued him ! He now is quite freindly & has quite a repitware of speach !

The ones we are suposed to be shooting are galahs like Daves and sulphur crested cockatoos which are about 3 or 4 times biger than galahs. We've tried .22's shotguns and .222's but most are taken with .22's.

Best thing I have found for culling cockies both galahs and correllas. Is a couple of italians they shoot them like mad and use them to make spaghetti sauce. They particularly like galahs.
