What would a top end load for a Ruger Blackhawk .357 mag to .44 special conversion be? Any clue?
Thanks,
Patrick

Ask the gunsmith thats doing the conversion. If its on the late big frame then any listed load would be ok. The old model small frame might be different.

We would assume that you are building it on the .357 frame to be an easy carrying holster gun, not a long range scoped piece. While the gun would likely take more, think like a 250gr cast with 7.5gr Unique or 15.5gr of 2400. There are only two or three types of game in North America that would really require more oomph. Recoil control with the small grip will begin to become a factor also. I quit carrying the magnum 30 years ago because mine is so much handier and kills just as well at open sight ranges. BOL.
