I am currently living in the Uk, i know there are strict gun laws here, but am currently a member of a gun club. After getting my first taste of a rimfire 22. i have decided to try and get one for myself. However i have no idea as to what kind of gun to obtain. Preferbly a rimfire 22. reliable and not going to put a hole in my pocket (No pun intended).

I also require any information that you as prospective owners and users may be able to give me to stop me falling into the pitfalls of newbie buying...

Any body whom can help me and is prefferbly from England, so as to have had experience with buying under our laws, would be greatfully accepted. Also any recogmendations as to a decent storage device for the rifel when in transport or when simply put in storage. I know very little about the firearms act and can not be bothered with reading the entire internet trying to figure it out. So any points or tips you can give me from your own experience would be a very big help.
