Did savage stop makeing them? I just started looking for a single shot pistol in a good varment caliber and all i am coming up with is the T-C Encore. What happened to the pistols like the XP 100 Remingtons and the Dominator and things like that? I have been pretty much out of the loop for the last few years due to illness.Any help?

They must have stopped selling them. I remember seeing them on their web site just a couple of months ago. I just looked and they are no longer listed.

XP 100 and Dominator have been gone for a while. Sometimes you can find a used XP

You might want to look at E. Arthur Brown Co.

While attending the SHOT show in Vegas I informed reps from weatherby and savage about the single shot pistol law change in Cal no longer needing the drop test and certification fees.

I was thinking about picking up a stryker. I see they are no longer listed. I believe Weatherby and HS precision both have something available.
